Performance training in Missoula
Strength is only valuable if you can use it.
Plenty of athletes are strong in the weight room and lose that strength the moment the movement gets complicated. Training here is about control: your center of gravity, your body awareness, and power you can put into the ground when it counts.
The approach came out of fifteen years working with professional athletes, and it is the same approach whoever is in front of it.

What the training works on
Your center of gravity
Controlling movement and balance through efficient mechanics and dynamic stability.
Functional strength
Full-body power and endurance, built through sport-specific and movement-based work.
Biomechanical efficiency
Refining movement patterns so you move faster with less strain.
Mobility and range
Getting full range of motion back, and the control to use it.
Staying available
Stability and alignment work that lowers injury risk and holds up over a season.
Training with intent
Focus and precision in the session, which is most of what separates an athlete who improves from an athlete who just trains.

Who trains here

If you are a new athlete, the first session is about finding out what you are working with. Dr. Cordial looks at how you move, where you are compensating, and what your sport is going to ask of you, and the program is built from that instead of from a template.
Speed and agility work runs as its own program on the only high-speed treadmill in Montana, alongside footwork, reaction and change-of-direction drills. See speed training

What sports performance training looks like here
Sports performance training in Missoula starts with an evaluation, and the program gets built from what it finds. There is no standard block, because a hockey player working back from a shoulder problem and a volleyball player trying to jump higher need different work.
Every session starts by getting the body ready, then moves to the main work, then finishes with something that asks for control when you are already tired. The main work is what changes. For one athlete it is loaded strength. For another it is single-leg control, or landing mechanics, or producing force in the position their sport puts them in.
The measuring is what keeps it honest. Dr. Cordial looks at how you move before the program starts and looks again while it runs, so the training changes when the athlete does. That is the difference between a program built for you and a program you were handed.
Most of this is built to fit around a season, a team lift, and whatever else an athlete already has in the week.
Start here
Every athlete starts with an evaluation. Dr. Cordial assesses how you move, what is limiting you, and what your goals ask of you, then builds the program around what he finds.

More than strength and endurance
Movement you use every day
Proper biomechanics for ordinary activity, so the way you move at work and at home gets easier too.
Posture and balance
Better alignment lowers injury risk and holds up over time.
Capacity for everything else
Fitness here is not about how you look. It is about having more to give, from lifting to a full day on your feet.
Move Better. Recover Faster. Live Stronger.
Start with the evaluation. You will leave knowing what you are working with and what the plan is.
