-Heather Cheney
When pain starts changing how you train, work, or spend your weekends, you want to understand what is wrong and what you can do about it.
At Electric Rehab & Fitness, we combine sports chiropractic, rehabilitation, and performance training to help you recover from injuries and get back to the activities you enjoy. We work with professional athletes, active adults, and people who simply want to get through the day.
Maybe your back keeps tightening up during workouts, or a stiff shoulder makes it hard to reach overhead. Treatment starts with understanding what is limiting you and choosing care that fits the problem.

How chiropractic care can help
Depending on your needs, chiropractic care and rehabilitation can help you work toward:
- Pain reliefAddressing joint and muscle problems that make exercise, work, and everyday movement uncomfortable.
- Better range of motionWorking on stiffness so you can bend, turn, reach, and move more comfortably.
- Improved movement mechanicsLooking at how your joints and muscles work together, including habits that may be putting extra strain on an area.
- Recovery after an injuryHelping you rebuild the strength and movement you need as you return to activity.
- Greater strength and stabilityUsing rehabilitation exercises to improve control and support the demands you place on your body.
- Staying activeWorking toward the things that matter to you, whether that is a full season of competition or a weekend hike.
Chiropractic care that looks beyond the adjustment
Pain going away and the problem being fixed are two different events.
An adjustment may be part of your treatment. We also want to understand why something hurts, what keeps aggravating it, and what needs attention as you recover.
That means looking at joint motion, muscle function, strength, and biomechanics: how your body moves during walking, lifting, running, and other activities. Those findings help us decide where chiropractic care, sports rehabilitation, or changes to your movement may be useful.
Dr. Clint Cordial is a board-certified sports chiropractor and functional medicine practitioner with experience treating professional athletes. At our Missoula clinic, he brings that experience to people with a wide range of injuries, activity levels, and goals.
You should understand what we find and why we recommend a particular treatment. We will talk through that with you.

Sports injuries and pain we treat
People come to us with recent injuries, recurring problems, and pain they have been trying to work around for months. Common concerns include:
- Shoulder pain
- Rotator cuff injuries
- Hamstring strains
- Knee pain
- Low back pain
- Hip pain
- IT band pain
- Ankle sprains
- Tennis elbow
- Plantar fasciitis
- Neck pain
Sometimes there is a clear starting point, like an ankle sprain during a game. Other times, discomfort builds gradually until it starts interfering with your routine.
If you have already tried treatment and are still struggling, we can review what you have done and discuss what might be worth looking at next.

Do I have to be an athlete?
No. You do not need to play a sport or follow a training program to see a sports chiropractor.
Some patients are working toward their next competition. Others want to garden, get through a workday, or pick up their kids without discomfort. Those are all good reasons to seek care.
Your treatment should make sense for your life. We will talk about what you need your body to do and use that to guide the work.
Your first visit
We assess spinal health, mobility, range of motion, strength, and muscle control. This helps identify movement patterns that may be affecting your comfort and how you move.
Wear athletic shorts and a T-shirt so we can assess the area comfortably. Payment is due at your visit.
Common questions
How is this different from physical therapy?
There is overlap. Electric Rehab & Fitness combines chiropractic care with physical therapy principles and performance training.
We look at joint movement alongside muscle strength, tissue function, gait, and the demands of your sport or daily routine. Your care may include hands-on treatment and exercises to build strength, mobility, and control. The combination depends on what we find during your evaluation and how you respond as treatment progresses.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed. You can book directly for pain, injury recovery, movement concerns, or athletic performance. You do not have to be injured.
Will my insurance cover treatment?
We are a cash-based clinic and do not bill insurance. The initial evaluation costs $200. For individual treatment visits, we can provide an itemized superbill with diagnosis and treatment codes for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage depends on your plan, and reimbursement is not guaranteed.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on the injury and your response to care. More involved injuries and recovery after surgery can take longer. We generally expect progress within about four treatments. If that is not happening, we reassess the diagnosis and treatment, including whether imaging or another opinion would help.
If pain is keeping you from doing something you enjoy, schedule a visit with Electric Rehab & Fitness. We will take a closer look and talk through your options.
